Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam Review (Holy Grail Product)

If I were to be asked about three adjectives by which I'd describe Etude House's Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam with, they'd be: Crazy, Amazing, and Out of This World.

As in I am not kidding when I am saying that this product is insane in getting blackheads off. Like no. Take it from the girl who has more blackheads than the stars in the galaxy (hyperbole intended).

I've used a lot of facial washes that made the skin feel clean, and while they did make my skin feel clean (and stay clean and safe from pimples and all that), this is by far the only facial wash (take note that this is a wash, not a scrub) that has shown extremely noticeable blackhead reduction results in one wash.

theBalm Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Translucent Powder Review (Holy Grail Product)

This is probably the only pressed powder with such a sexy lady on the cover. And this is one of those pressed powders that actually has follow through.

As in I can't explain how underrated theBalm is as a makeup brand because they have really good stuff and a lot of their loot goes unnoticed...

This is Sexy Mama, theBalm's pressed powder slash anti oil product rolled into one.

Carnival Cosmetics Colour Palette (Party) Review

Personally, I think that combining lip products and powdered products in one pan is a bad idea because the powders are bound to get dusted onto the lip product, but on the other hand, I cannot deny how convenient these combinations can be.

This is why I can't hate the idea altogether. And I guess it's the reason why I love this color palette from Carnival Cosmetics.

This is their Party color palette, made of two eyeshadows (combined in a single pan), a blush, and a lippie. Since this is the 'party' palette, the eyeshadows are more for the evening look, the blush cool in tone, and the lippie a bright cherry pink.

Kawaii Box Review + Giveaway!

If you thought beauty boxes were fun, wait till you see the cutest box in town, the Kawaii Box!

Yipee! The folks at Kawaii Box were nice enough to send me a box so I could show you guys all about it.

For starters, Kawaii Box, is, (you guessed it!), a subscription box program wherein they send you 10-12 cute kawaii items per month. They charge S$18.90 for each box, but the retail value of each box (since they contain original cute stuff all the way from Japan and Korea) could reach up to S$35-40.

This is supposedly their September Kawaii box, but due to customs problems, and simply the long distance from Singapore to the Philippines, I got the box about a week ago and it's only now I'm able to blog about it.

Dolly Wink Pencil Sharpener Review (Holy Grail Product)

It's easy to find good sharpeners for writing pencils, and it's easy to find mechanical pencils should you dislike the hassle of sharpening your pencils. However, with makeup, that isn't always the case. Not a lot of companies make their eye pencils in retractable plastic packaging, and a lot of the popular eye/lip pencils in the market are still wooden/plastic that you have to sharpen, or in other words, traditional.

I think all of you can relate to the struggle. As in the struggle of sharpening an eye pencil.

There's always a struggle to not get the product to break and stick onto the blades. And then there's this struggle of not knowing when it's already sharp enough and when you should stop sharpening. And those pencils made of bad wood, there's this struggle of not getting the wooden shavings to disintegrate and fly onto the product and everything else in your house. And of course, there is also the struggle of having to clean up waxy shavings from the sharpener blade, or in a day of misfortune, the cleanup of a pencil stump from inside the sharpener.

But with this sharpener, you can bid all those struggles goodbye.

Burt's Bees Lip Shine (Wink-030) Review

There are a lot of lip gloss options nowadays, but not many lip glosses are 100% natural!

This is Burt's Bees lip shine in the shade of wink. That's why I'm winking ;)

Top 6 Makeup Artist Finds At Saizen

There are just so many items that Saizen has to offer, and I'm not really surprised. After all, the Japanese are popular for inventing and manufacturing all sorts of things that you need and don't need at the same time.

For this post, I'm going to share my top favorite makeup artist finds from the store. I'm not sponsored in any way to do this post (or any other of my posts hahaha), it's just that while I was at makeup school, the school was in a mall and Saizen was a mere 15 second walk from school that I frequented this store while in school. I frequented this store so much that I've more or less familiarized myself with their product line, the knick knacks, and the really useful and value adding things they sell. Moreover, I also noticed that a lot of the stuff that the school had were bought from this store. And there have even been times that my teacher went to Saizen to make a rush purchase for items the school doesn't have!

Main post after the jump!

What To Buy From Suesh

I know a lot of you guys are familiar with Suesh as this store selling brushes and traincases, but I'd actually like to highlight that aside from a lot of the tools they sell, you can also get a whole lot of eyeshadows from them at Php95 a pop and lippies at Php90 (I think?) a pop!

They have a lot of eyeshadows in crazier colors that other more consumer-centric brands wouldn't carry or those that wouldn't be worth it to buy from an expensive brand. I have yellow, red, purple, and some brown eyeshadows from them. Quality wise, the shimmery ones they have are relatively okay, but the matte ones aren't packed with that much color payoff. However, they're still good choices because the only other brand with these colors and extreme color payoff is Sugarpill, and we know that once a reseller sells it here it's already almost twice the US price and a single eyeshadow could be sold for Php700-800 here.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Makeup (shade 0.5) Review

You may have seen my review of Make Up For Ever's HD foundation awhile back and discovered that it's only this year that I started buying high end foundations in my shade and stopped all the guesswork with random foundation samples and BB creams. This is another one of those purchases that I thought long and hard for because I was tired of having foundations that were just too dark or too yellow on me.

You may have also heard of Urban Decay's BB Cream as a lot of online resellers here have it available, but they also have a nice foundation line with 18 shades ranging from this shade (0.5, which is the lightest) up to a shade called shade 12 which is legitimately for African American people (as in it's not tan or kayumanggi, it's really in their shade).
