Artistry Hydra-V Collection

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to talk to you guys today about Artistry's newest product line. You may have heard me talk about another event of theirs from awhile back featuring their other product lines. This time, they have a whole new product line launched in the Philippines, the Hydra-V line.

Today's speaker is Angelo Hontiveros, head instructor at the La Manille School of Esthetics.

Estheticians, if you're wondering, are the people who basically make live and breathe people's epidermis layers. Most of their activities for the skin are over the epidermis (sometimes the dermis, but only sometimes). Whatever that they do, it must be for the epidermis...

There were cameras other than mine because there was a live stream of this session to other areas...

In today's session, Angelo discussed some tidbits about Artistry and a basic understanding of people's different skin types and skin needs.
The other product lines of Artistry were on display, though the Hydra-V line was of course the star.

Regardless, though, of which Artistry line you choose, your basic skincare routine will fall under cleanse, tone, and moisturize. You are not prohibited to mix and match product lines (though I think you'd get more potent effects if you stuck to just one), so long as you stick with cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your face and neck twice a day.

The product line, as seen in this photo, has 6 items. They consist of the following (from top to bottom, left to right):
Hydra-V Nourishing Gel Cream- This is the all-around go-to moisturizer from the product line, that can be used anytime of the day and the year.

Hydra-V  Fresh Foaming Cleanser- Their facial wash for the product line that promises to remove oil, excess makeup, and other debris left behind in the skin as a result of pollution and day to day activities.

Hydra-V Fresh Softening Lotion- Safe to say that this is the toner in the product line, but with no alcohols added for a gentle effect.

Hydra-V Refreshing Gel- This is their gel within the product line that comes with a cooling effect, and helps to absorb excess oil to help refresh the skin.

Hydra-V Refreshing Eye Gel Cream- This is the eye cream n the product line that promises to be lightweight and non-greasy. They claim that it may help to reduce puffiness and the appearance of under eye circles.

Vital Skin Serum Concentrate- "This concentrated, powerful, serum is the strongest way to refresh, replenish, and revitalize skin. Rare, pristine ingredients help increase hydration, with vitamins and minerals to replenish the skin." Basically this is the concentrate within the product line for those who need bigger miracles in their lives hahaha, or simply those who want to step up their skincare game and use the good stuff to preserve what's good in their skin. :)

What makes Hydra-V so special is that it has three key ingredients: Fjord water, Himalayan pink minerals, and Hawaiian acai extracts.

The product line was inspired b the Nobel-prize discovery of Aquaporins. Aquaporins are basically water channels in your skin cells that transport water across cell membranes and regulates flow of water in and out of skin cells.

They wanted a product line that made skin feel fresh, moisturized, and basically everything else in between hahaha. Tests have shown that with  Hydra-V, there was a 270% increase in skin's water content, up to 24 hours of continuous hydration among users, and a noticeable improvement in skin texture within days.

After Angelo's talk, he proceeds to demonstrate how to use the products and how to apply them. One of his tips as a professional esthetician that when it comes to someone else's face, always use gloves. And always use the right kind of gloves (avoid those latex ones because they may cause allergies, plus the fact that they come with starch...). And yes the skincare line is also okay for men to use as proven by the male model in today's session...

Interestingly, too, one of my learnings from Angelo that it's actually not oily food that irritate the skin and cause pimples, it's actually salty food and those high in sodium. I guess the misconception just came to be because a lot of oily foods happen to be salty at the same time? (I'm looking at you Krispy Pata and Bagnet).

For the curious folks, this event was held at the Amway center somewhere in Makati. They have quite a lot of talks and activities within the area...

And you may remember my blog posts about Carnival cosmetics from awhile back :)

That's it for this blog post! What Hydra-V product seems the most promising? Do tell me in the comments box :)
