Everyday Love+ Nude Lips (#3) Liquid Lipstick Review and Swatches

In yet another episode of drafts that got stuck for too long, today's "review" is Everyday Love+'s old edition liquid lipstick. I know they no longer use this packaging, and this shade #3 seems to be shade #2 in their new collection no. But I'm still guessing that the formula is still the same nice formula this old version one has, so I thought about pushing through with this review.

Shade Selection: Back then, the nude collection had five shades, if I remember correctly. Now, they expanded it to seven shades. Ever since I first encountered the brand, I already liked their take on nude shades, as they really took the "everyday" part of their brand DNA to heart and created very wearable shades.

Color Payoff and Pigmentation: The colors are super pigmented, just like most other liquid lipstick. It's also easy to get it to color nicely in one swipe. I advise shoppers to see it swatched on paper or their microscope slides first before buying because as far as this tube is concerned, it's bluish in tone so it will make your view a little less accurate. To get the exact color you want, it's best to open the tester and see for yourself.

Texture: For me, the texture is reaaally close to Lime Crime Velvetines, just that this is a tiiiiny little biiit more viscous. In fact, there is a very very faint scent that smells like Velvetines, too! It feels lightweight upon application, and has a soft whipped texture. It's not to be mistaken as a soft matte lip cream, as it doesn't apply like a matte cream. It applies wet, but quickly dries and sets matte. Relative to other brands, this dries really quickly, which I think is great because it dries quick enough before we even accidentally get it onto our teeth and/or braces.

Comfort: A lot of people have complained to me that this is drying, but despite me having super dry lips, I actually liked this one! I find it to be lightweight, and it doesn't feel hot on the lips like some other liquid lipsticks. It also doesn't feel irritating. There is also no annoying sticky feeling, especially during drying time.

Longevity: This doesn't flake off when you rub your lips, so this stays put quite well assuming no food is involved. This is not the most long lasting liquid lipstick against oil, but it's good enough relative to the price.

Value For Money: I got this for Php199 back then at a makeup workshop. These days, it's still Php199 at their website. For the very generous portion of product, really pretty shades, and a comfy texture for everyday, I really find this to have good value for money.

Overall Feedback: This is a really affordable find that packs good value for money. The shades look sophisticated, and the texture is luxurious, but is affordable for most people. Everyday Love+ is still more of an indie brand, and I hope that their good formula gets discovered by mainstream consumers.
