Have you noticed that in spite of the vast array of modern time-saving technologies we all have less and less free time?

Many people find themselves constantly torn between the pressures of work and personal life. It can often feel as though there aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week. We rush around trying to fit more and more activities into less and less time, forcing our fitness routine to the back seat.

Contrary to popular belief that workout takes a huge time out of your day, it notably takes 55 minutes to feel that intense heat in the muscles, strengthening every core of your being. This is the Plana FORMA experience – every workout feels like winning a battle.

Plana FORMA is a total-body workout that uses an exciting technique inspired by New York workouts, combining yoga, dance, pilates and barre. It involves target-specific exercises that work on the abdominals, thigh, hips and seat muscles while strengthening the back muscles and working the hamstrings.

A session usually starts with warm-up exercises using two sets of weights that work the upper body and the arms, a full body prep through push ups and a bit of core stability work and then moves on to barre exercises which works the thighs, calves, hips, abs and seat muscles. The class is finished-off with a cool down through dynamic stretching.

Unlike other workouts, you don’t take breaks in Plana FORMA; you move on to the next set of exercises quickly targeting all muscle groups in under an hour.

“Our clients are go-getters, their time is precious and the best hour of their day usually starts or ends with us at the barre, so we want to make sure that we give you the very best in terms of workouts. Each 55- minute class is so rewarding, you’ll keep coming back for more!” said Plana FORMA head instructor Celine Encarnacion, who trained under the experts of Physique 57 in New York City.

Even individuals who avoid the gym or any kind of physical activity will find that they can actually go through one whole session without stopping to catch breathe.

"Our classes are designed to tone, lengthen and lean out the muscles because we focus on one muscle group at a time through small ranges of movement to the point of exhaustion and then we stretch it right after. There is no bulking up," said Encarnacion.

Empowering Community
An intimate mix of people enjoy the 55-minute class together at the Plana FORMA studio at Il Terrazzo, Quezon City. Lady Bosses usually go in the mornings while their kids are in school. Corporate clients arrive in the evening after work and younger guests enjoy the work out in the weekends.

“What urges people to keep coming back is the supportive community that we work hard to create. We have clients who consider the studio their happy place because they come and leave feeling happier knowing they are getting stronger,” said Plana FORMA QC Branch President Monique Daez, who is also a mother of nine and has kept in shape with Plana FORMA.

Plana FORMA aims to be the super women’s partner in their journey to self-improvement while they continue to juggle their daily line up of responsibilities. After all, staying active and healthy makes it easier to feel good in the world.

“We want to show and inspire women that it is possible to embrace an active yet balanced lifestyle. It only takes a few minutes in their day to build a stronger and graceful version of themselves,” said Daez.

Plana Forma, in partnership with MFT Group of Companies Inc., is located at 3F Il Terrazzo Tomas Morato corner Scout Madriñan, Quezon City. For inquiries, you may call 0956-582-6858.
