Overall Feedback:
For those with sensitive skin or for those who are looking for more conscientious choices, there's Mineral Fusion Vegan Mineral Lipstick. This is one of the most genuinely nourishing lipsticks out there, as this single lipstick already contains sunflower, castor, coconut, sesame, and avocado oil. It's also among the most socially advanced, as it's cruelty-free and gluten-free. In the US, a lot of people with skin conditions hoard this brand as it's one of the few brands that work on even the most problematic skin.

This is generally more like a tinted balm, as while it's buildable to opacity, it's mostly semi-translucent. The pigments are vivid enough to be seen properly, but it takes more than one swipe to get it to really overtake the natural color of the lips. There are 15 shades, so it's possible for the buyer to choose a light color to be used opaquely, or select a deeper shade to be used thinly.

The texture is also really balm-like, although weirdly it's a bit powdery despite having a satin finish. I guess it must be the minerals, as this has no artificial colorants as well. It's not thin, nor thick, it's right in the middle. It's also not sticky, as there are so many oils in the formulation. But this also means that this lipstick really moves around a lot, and therefore is prone to fading faster.

This is not long-lasting, and you really need to retouch every few hours or so. But if you think about it, the brand DNA is about combining beauty with functionality. I understand that they probably thought it was better to make a short-lasting lipstick that healed lips and made it supple, over making a lipstick that was so long-lasting but exacerbated dryness on the lips.

The only thing that I think should be noted by potential buyers is that there really is a strong sweet oily scent to this. I thought it was the castor oil, but it doesn't smell like castor oil. I can't really describe what oil it smells like, but it really does have an 'oily' scent. I'm personally fine and I don't care about it, but some people might not be comfortable with it. I recommend trying it out in-store before buying to see whether the scent is OK with you or not.

It's Php825 for 3g, and while this is more expensive than most department store brands, this is still more affordable than a lot of brands from the US. More importantly, comparing this to prohibitively expensive hypoallergenic products for people with skin conditions, this is already forgiving pricing.

A warm baby pink.
