If you're looking for a slightly cooling shampoo for whatever reason, Sunsilk Naturals Watermelon Freshness is an easy-to-find choice! Thus far, before this shampoo was released, I think only clarifying shampoos and anti-dandruff shampoos came in cooling variants. I like how a more nourishing mainstream shampoo came with a cooling variant as well. I thought I'd do a short review on this as well.

The TL;DR is that I used to be weirded out by this, but I like it now. I found it weird that the shampoo was a clear red, and the watermelon fragrance was really fancy. Like the smell of watermelon lollipops. It took me some time to get used to the watermelon fragrance.

Once I did get used to it, I really started to like this shampoo because true to the product name, it really gives a fresh feeling. It has a slight cooling effect, but just the right kind of cooling. It's not too intensely cool so as to make it unusable during colder nights, but also noticeable enough especially on a hot day. Hair also feels light. bouncy, and free of oil.

In general, I like to use this when I shoot headshots for the blog. I shoot headshots about 8-10 hours each time, so I wash and blowdry my hair right before shooting. If I don't, my hair would look really limp and oily about 6 hours into it. I like this shampoo a lot for that. My hair is shiny, bouncy, and "visibly fresh" (if that even makes sense) in photos.

The watermelon fragrance may be off-putting for some, but once you get past that, it's a great way to freshen your hair, especially after a long day.
