Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (N115) Review (Holy Grail Product)

For the longest time, I was used to using what foundation was there, and to simplify the process, I had always bought BB creams as they oxidized to match the skintone. At the start of last year, I was already buying foundations in my shade, but with more budget brands. Only this year did I really shell out on high end foundations like this one and my Urban Decay purchase.

This is Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation. We had received a bottle of this back then, and I had a really good impression on the product as I did look better in photos while wearing it in terms of texture, but it was in the wrong shade as the one given to us back then was a really reddish and hamitic shade. I really made it a point to get myself the right shade this time.

Amway Beauty Party

Who doesn't love beauty parties?

I guess that's the common premise as to why a lot of companies are hosting such events, Amway not excluded. I was invited to participate in one of their beauty parties recently, and I went to observe what truly happens in these parties.

Basically, there will be an Amway representative who will bring samples of their skincare and makeup and instruct you how to use the products, when to use them, and what each product and product line is for. There is no requirement to buy any product, and actually, the more friends you bring, the more fun.

They're actually recommending these kinds of events for bridal showers so that the bride and her entourage can have some pampering before the big day. Or even baby showers, as a push present for the mother to be. You can also host these parties for birthdays and other girly gatherings, provided that you'll handle the food by yourself. They only handle the beauty side of the party, not the food.

These are some of the products which they let us use during the beauty party.

These are Artistry foundations. I know Artistry isn't so known here, but they're doing quite well in the US. They are more or less at par with Lancome and Estee Lauder in terms of quality, but at a lower price point.

Personally, my mom has a lot of praises to sing about them because I think even before I was born she was already using Artistry products.

This is their Ideal Radiance line, for the purpose of whitening.

They more or less have a four step line that involves cleansing, toning, pampaering (the serum part), and moisturizing (with the cream).

Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara Review (Holy Grail Product)

By now, you must be tired of hearing about this mascara and tired of hearing me incessantly talk about it in my past videos, tutorials, and whatnot here on the blog.

But meh, whatever recognition it's receiving from me, or from anyone else for that matter, it truly deserves it.

This is the only mascara you need in life, and the only mascara I can trust to use on a bride or for a big day.

Since I have been talking about this for too long everywhere, it's time it got a review it deserved.

Etude House Bright Fit vs. Blooming Fit BB Cream Reviews and Comparisons

Etude House came up with a new BB cream which is their Blooming Fit BB Cream. When they sent me a tube to try it, I thought that before I make a formal review of the new BB cream here on my blog, I think it'd be nicer to start off by comparing it to its predecessor, the Bright Fit BB cream.

Etude House Skin Note Hydrogel (Pore Tightening) Review (Holy Grail Product)

Say hello to the future!

Or so my mom says. After I applied Etude House's hydrogel mask, my mom was surprized that it was transparent, and that the material was not the usual cloth sheet you see in typical mask sheets. She was also amused that it was really glossy and all, and was super curious about what it is. I couldn't really define hydrogel well, so to describe it to her, I told her it was like applying a thin jelly sheet onto your face, only with a special serum and all.

And actually, that's also how I'd describe this mask sheet to all of you.

I think you now understand what I mean with applying a jelly sheet on your face... Or maybe this can be likened to having a Kool Fever sheet for beauty...

Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam #6 Review

The hoarder in me has been awakened!

If anything, that's because Etude House recently came up with their Every Month Cleansing Foam. And no, they're not kidding with the every month part because they really released 12 variants of this facial wash, with different purposes and fragrances for each one! One of these days I'll hoard all 12!!!

(and no I am not kidding, like look at this poster with all 12 of them...)

This one that they sent me is #6 or Trouble Care, and it's made of Tea Tree. As of my last Etude House store visit (like last week), this was already out of stock-- this seems to be a really popular variant.

Integrate Pure Big Eyes VI221 Eyeshadow Quad Review

Happiness is in your eyes!!!

Or maybe it's just in good makeup?

This is Integrate's Pure Big Eyes eyeshadow quad in VI221.
(It may have 5 shadows but it's weird to call this a penta so i'll stick to calling it a quad)

I know Integrate doesn't really sound a bell but it's slowly gaining traction in Asia. It's already a staple in all Watsons outlets in Taiwan, and I'm quite certain that a Hong Kong and Singapore domination is on its way. As for the Philippines, they're probably going to delay it as this is a higher end sister brand or Majolica Majorca (and a daughter brand of Shiseido) and there probably isn't an exact market for it at the moment. As in there are really rich matured ladies who buy the Shiseido brand itself and younger girls who buy Majolica Majorca, but there probably isn't that kind of young middle class yet who will fully embrace this brand. However, it's never impossible that this brand will be brought to the Philippines!!!

Okay so these are the swatches, and I'll get on with describing the product in further detail.

Etude House Pearl Aura Brightening Essence Review (Holy Grail Product)

Since I haven't done any skincare reviews in a while, I thought it'd be nice to add in some skincare into the blog. So hooray for a new review!

This review is on Etude House's Pearl Aura Brightening Essence. This is the product meant to be a concentrated serum for nightly use, to complement the other product in their product line which is a thin cream for morning and daytime use. Although you can also use this product in the daytime if you want to.

Read on for the full review :)

Beauty News: Naked 2 Basics is Here!

It was beyond midnight last night and I was already ready to sleep when I suddenly saw a tweet made by Urban Decay. Apparently, they kinda took us by surprise and announced all of a sudden that there'd be a Naked 2 basics palette coming up ASAP!

Compared to the first basics palette, this is described as the basics companion to Naked 2; thus, its color scheme is more cool toned, and leans more on the taupe-ey browns. Read on for more comparison and insight!

So many men, so little time!

Yes, there'll be plenty of men to choose from once this blush is on your face!

Dolly Wink x Yhansy Glam Up Winnings

Hooray for winning a giveaway!!! I joined the giveaway hosted by Yhansy (they're an accessories store) and Dolly Wink (which is distributed by the owners of Yhansy). Basically the contest was about uploading a selfie, and adding in the hashtags #dollywinkgirl and #yhansyglamup to celebrate how fun it is to be a Dolly Wink girl.

This is the selfie I uploaded on Instagram:
(I'm posing with my Dolly Wink Cream Eyeshadow, powder eyeshadow quad 01 and eyebrow powder 01)

I like how generous they are because they had 3 major winners (me and two other girls), and 7 minor winners, for a total of 10 winners in a giveaway.

I honestly am doing this review just for formality purposes, and just so that my photos of this palette are floating in this website, because I think all of you who are following my blog closely have already seen this baby in my tutorials, favorites videos, and virtually every other kind of blog/vlog post I could produce.

So say hello to Wet n Wild's Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection palette in the set of Comfort Zone!

Lip Product Drawer Reorganization!

Before and happily ever after!

For the longest time I was not really a lippie person (I was more of a mascara person) that I didn't really have a lot of lippies. Only when I kind of expanded my collection this year did I realize that I never really had any way to sort them or organize them, and they were all a big hot mess in my drawer. And since I didn't have a lot of lippies, too, a lot of non-lipie junk was in the drawer.
So here are some of the photos of the sections of my lippie drawer.

Tony Moly Cats Wink Clear Pact (02) Review

Meow!!! It's time to talk about this purr-fect powder!

Okay, I'll be honest, I bought Tony Moly's Cats Wink Clear pact because of the packaging. I love cats so much that when I saw this product in the store, I didn't think twice and I purchased it. I actually didn't even try it in store, I just shoved it in my basket because it had a cat design!

Thankfully, there's quite a lot of good things to say about this impulse purchase! Whew!
