Johnson's Baby Oil Gel (Shea and Cocoa Butter scent) Review

This is one of those posts that need more words than photo swatches hahahahah.

I got this bottle of Johnson's baby oil gel after seeing a lot of posts on Pinterest recommending it as a good shaving cream. Currently, I use a soap based shaving cream and was willing to give this item a try.

Or rather, I got curious when I saw it in S&R since I've been seeing it on Pinterest for the longest time. It was on sale as I got it for only Php199 (compared to Php368 I think) during the Members' Treat Sale.

NYX Butter Lipstick (Pops-BLS17) Review

Hooray for another MLBB lipstick! I ordered this NYX Butter lipstick shade primarily because it's an MLBB shade, and at the time I ordered it there weren't much feedback on this product yet which is why I decided to buy it and see for myself.

This is me sporting the lipstick. I love the color! It's an MLBB shade alright, but contrary to many of my other MLBB shades, this is not pinkish in undertone but brownish based.

Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove Review (Holy Grail Product)

I would consider this the best thing that happened to my makeup kit, like EVER. I know that at first glance at the title and the product description, you're all probably chuckling in disbelief as to why girls would stupidly shell out so much money for this useless product. But let me walk you through why this was probably one of the wisest makeup purchase decisions I've ever made.

So like everybody not familiar with this product, like a year ago I was also laughing in disbelief as to why would girls stupidly spend $40 and its equivalent to buy a silicone glove you can buy from a baking store. Or even not a baking store, you can also get similar potholders at department stores for a 1/10 the cost of the glove. However, I decided to give it a try when I ordered a bunch of Sigma goods and decided that it would be much more convenient to put this into the purchase rather than make a separate transaction. I also thought that it may help to ease my suffering in brush cleaning.

WELL IT HAS BEEN THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY BRUSH CLEANING.

Clinique All About Shadow (Morning Java) Review

The last time I touched a Clinique eyeshadow, there was just nothing nice I could say about it. But now, with their new reformulated eyeshadows, I just have everything nice to say about these eyeshadows!

This is a gift a family friend gave to my mom, and since it was just so good, I decided to put in some swatches and all. This is Clinique's All About Shadow Eyeshadow Quad in the shade of Morning Java.   This is overall a really warm and bronzy palette.

Beautymaker by Kevin BB Cream Review

Hooray for my second Beautymaker by Kevin review (?) This time I am reviewing their BB Cream. This is one of those products where I have really mixed opinions...

So to kind of get this post to some direction, let me get started with the promises of the product. This variant specifically has three major promises-- total UV protection, no color mismatch, and no oiliness. The other variant, for dry skin, promises that there'd be no feelings of dryness on your skin. They're promoting this as a 10 in 1 product, boasting that it has SPF 50 and has Panax ginseng root extract in it.

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes (BR792) Review

I have long been observing this product from afar, but for some reason I just never tried it yet until this year! I was missing out on a lot actually!

This is Majolica Majorca's Jeweling Eyes Eyeshadow Quad. in my previous posts about the brand you may have already read that this is a daughter company of Shiseido, but I'll just say it again. This is their lowest end brand (despite being high quality and relatively pricey), but meh, it's Shiseido we're talking about anyways.

So let's get started with talking about this product!

Beautymaker by Kevin Aqua Eye Concealer Review

Taiwan says hi! This is one of the items that my aunt in Taiwan gave to me before we went back home to the Philippines. Apparently, she won this magazine contest and won the whole product line of this brand called Beautymaker by Kevin. Honestly, this is a brand I would've never known of had it not been for my aunt. And since a lot of the feedback is in Mandarin Chinese, I had no idea whether it was a good brand or not. Which is why I personally brought the products to the test. :D

Today's review is about their Aqua Eye Concealer. If you check out their website, you'd see it ranked as their number one bestselling product.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution for Sensitive Skin Review (Holy Grail Product)

After many months of struggle and waiting, I was finally able to buy my own bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H2O. This is a journey full of struggles huhuhu.

This is because in general, Bioderma is still not a very known brand in the Philippines that there aren't many store resellers of this product. There are online resellers, but the price is too expensive for me (at the usual Php1250-1350) when I know that stores in Hong Kong sell this product for less than Php1000.

Back then, as in like three or four years ago, I already encountered this in SaSa in Hong Kong. The salesladies were pointing to this as I was about to buy a bottle of Bifesta Cleansing Express. Unfortunately, since they seemed to only speak in Cantonese and I cannot speak in the said language, I didn't really understand what they were trying to say about it. I thought that they were saying that it was a toner or astringent, which is of course not what it is after all. I just had an idea that it must be a good product as they were all smiles and cheerful. And since at that time I was looking for a watery makeup remover slash facial cleanser and not a toner, I didn't really mind it.

Only very recently that it's gotten relatively more popular and after I've read descriptions of it in English did I understand that this is the kind of miracle product I needed in my life.

Which is why I was so happy to find out that Watsons and SM Department Stores have already started to stock up on this product. The struggle was in the fact that I had to visit at least three watsons branches before I was able to buy this. I finally found this available in the department store of SM Noth Edsa.

What's WRONG with Mink, the 3D Makeup Printer

I think a lot of you have been amazed over the weekend by the news that spread like wildfire on social media that women can now print makeup in the comfort of their homes.

If not yet, you can google Mink Makeup Printer to see what I mean.

I honestly waited two days before saying anything, because the first time I watched Grace Choi's presentation video, I was on the verge of barfing and cursing everyone. I knew that if I spoke right the minute I saw it I'd surely say things I'd regret later on, which is why it's only now I'm going to air my sentiments on it.

The idea of a makeup printer is of course wonderful to me and to the next person. I mean, who wouldn't want to revive all the discontinued shades of eyeshadow and lipstick that they loved? The idea is of course innovative and with lots of potential, but the presentation? The reasons for inventing the product? That's where all the problems come from.

the Balm Hot Mama! Shadow/Blush Review (Holy Grail Product)

Step aside, NARS Orgasm, there's a Hot Mama half your price roaming the shelves of Beauty Bar!

Yes, that's right, this is a blush that isn't as pink, but is really really close to NARS Orgasm blush! This is the Hot Mama blush of the Balm cosmetics.

I was at Beauty Bar a few weeks ago and I was intending to buy a Nude 'tude palette. Aside from the product being out of stock, I also found it unreasonably expensive at the SRP of Php2600++ when I know online sellers sell it for Php2000 at the most overpriced maximum already. So I just curiously browsed the shelves and saw this baby...

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Roundup

Hi everyone! So this is kind of a mini-conclusion to soft matte lip cream week! This is just a mini-conclusion because I'm certain I'll be picking up more shades of this lippie!

In summary, soft matte lip creams are described as (from NYX website):
"Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing."

In my own words, the SMLC is a product that is just phenomenal. It's a super soft and comfortable lip cream that dries into this matte and velvety finish. Even once it's dried, it still feels comfortable. It is everything proof-- water proof, food proof, shock proof, rub proof-- basically it's life proof. What impressed me the most about this product was that this is the best thing to wear and bring to a party. It's small in size, the tube represents the color already, and most importantly, it stays on really well that you can go to a banquet and eat your heart out without having to retouch so soon. This is the kind of lip color I trust for evening affairs.

These are the swatches and the tubes below them...

Beautyholic Manila Third Haul

Officially a loyal customer of Beautyholic Manila! This is my third haul with them but probably the 20th item I've purchased as each haul is always packed with a lot of stuff...

After many months of waiting, I am now officially an owner of Sigma's Premium Kit! It was thicker than I expected (it's as thick as a Bible-- I expected it to be twice the size of an iPad but also as thin as an iPad in a case)

And I am now puking rainbows with my Sugarpill goodies! So excited to use them!

And good sellers know how to pamper their loyal customers, hence all these samples and freebies! Am especially excited to try out the Sigma eyeshadows and the Benefit samples!!!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (08-San Paulo) Review

And this is the last (for now) among my soft matte lip cream posts! This shade is San Paulo. Honestly, I would say that when I saw this on the internet, I thought that it was going to be this brownish MLBB shade, but when it came, it turns out that it was a strongly reddish shade. Despite having brown undertones, the red undertone dominates.

With all honesty, I have a feeling that all school principals order this lippie because all I could think of were teachers and principals when I tried this color out. It's not a bad thing actually-- this shade reminds me a lot of education XDDD

Liese Bubble Hair Color Marshmallow Brown Review

Hooray for non-expired hair color that colors evenly! (you guys must've read my sad Palty hair dye story about a week ago. I put in effort to color my hair and all only to no results because it turns out the box I bot was already expired!). And don't worry, I colored my hair with the tainted Palty one and this one a week apart as what was recommended to avoid hair damage.

At least I got results and got more or less got evenly colored hair!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (07-Addis Ababa) Review

This is the nth installment of soft matte lip cream week! This shade is Addis Ababa. I personally decided to buy this because the color reminded me a lot of MAC's Candy Yum Yum lipstick.

And it does resemble Candy Yum Yum. This shade is a bright neon pinkish fuschia. It is less candy ish than Candy Yum Yum, being a bit darker, but at the same time it's also more intense with the vibrance of the fushia tint it has.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (05-Antwerp) Review

Hooray to one of the most popular shades of NYX's soft matte lip creams! This shade is in Antwerp. By far, this is the shade I see most bloggers sporting and most sellers promoting. And for good reason.

Aside from it being of NYX's incredible formulation and having really long wear, this color in particular is interesting.
