Maybelline Velvet Matte (Mat 5) Review and Swatches

Hooray for another Velvet Matte review! This is Mat 5, or the coral one in the collection.
This is a unique color in the collection because it's the only one that's coral/ orangey. Most of it are pinks and reds, with one nude color. This is perfect for people who have warmer skintones and are looking for something flattering. I also see this as a suitable shade for people with darker skintones.

It's coral, but it has a touch of red. Perhaps this is what I'd call orange-red? I wouldn't declare this as purely orange either.

It's amusing when applied because it's really a color of its own. I've said it in previous posts that I'm a pink girl so I won't personally look for this when looking for a new lippie, but it's not bad. It's a cute color that will match a lot of Pinays more so those with honey-toned skin.

This also didn't go on matte HAHAHA. It was more of a sheer, emollient, balm... Comfort wise this is super comfortable to wear and it leaves a nice tint. But if you're looking for those matte lipsticks that dry and look powdery, this is not the product for you. But if you're on the lookout for something cute and coral, I'm sure you will love this.

Maybelline Velvet Matte can be purchased in all Maybelline counters nationwide for Php349 a pop.
