Overall Feedback:
EB Advance Absolute Matte Lipstick is the perfect lipstick range for Filipinas who like reds and bricks, but want something in a color scheme appropriate for Filipina skin tones. The textures and shades are comfortable and wearable to most situations, making this a practical and affordable purchase for EB Advance fans.

This has a very waxy texture like Ever Bilena Matte Nudes lipstick, which I really like because it offers the market something else. Most matte lipstick manufacturers make the lipsticks matte by making it powdery, but often, they add too much powder that the consumer already feels the powder awkwardly. This also does have a powdery side to it, but it goes on thinly and doesn't feel hot on the lips like what sometimes happens with very powdery lipstick formulations. In general, those looking for lipsticks with truly matte finishes without thick and hot sensations will find good selections from the Ever Bilena group.

EB Advance Absolute Matte Lipstick feels light and wispy on the lips, and it has no sticky feeling at all. It doesn't dry and set per se, like a liquid lipstick, but it goes on thinly enough that relative to other lipsticks, this moves around quite sparingly. This doesn't move and transfer onto everything like crazy, and it also has really pigmented shades, so it's not the type to immediately fade and be obvious. But still, against oily food, one will need to retouch throughout the day.

EB Advance has lots of buff and taupe based brown lipsticks in their Lip Define Matte Matic Lipstick collection, and the texture of these Absolute Matte lipsticks are quite similar to that of Lip Define Lipsticks, so I view this as the brick-based sequel to that collection. The shades are very pigmented and very high-intensity, so they can actually be worn thinly as a tint, or put on opaquely as a lipstick.

Overall, at Php185, this is definitely a good deal for those who are looking for red and brick-based shades with a comfortable texture and luxurious finish. The packaging is so beautiful, and also very practical as they are color matched with the shade.

A mostly-neutral red with a touch of chili.
