Finally! A reseller channel skincare brand I'm actually excited to try!

After much research, the Ever Bilena group has now released a skincare brand they're proud of. From the research of Ever Bilena bosses, unfortunately, a lot of the skincare sets sold via reseller channels are chock full of harmful chemicals like mercury and hydroquinone. A lot of them cause extreme pain and discomfort, but people go on using them because of a prevalent tiis ganda mindset in the Philippines. Some resellers have actually not even used the products they're reselling, due to (an ironic) fear that the skincare sets they're selling would ruin their skin!

The Ever Bilena group wanted to create a skincare brand that was affordable, nourishing, and not harmful to the skin. Hello Glow is proudly marketed to not cause any redness, patchiness, stinging sensation, or any irritation! It's FDA approved, and was formulated without any harmful or illegal chemicals. Its promises include whiter, glowy, smooth, and hydrated skin. Of course, results will vary from one user to the next. I have yet to road test this brand myself. But off the bat, this is the first reseller channel brand that emphasizes that skincare should not cause pain or irritation, and I like the direction it is taking Filipinos to.

For those who are reading this waiting for an update, I now have a review/road test video for this!

Hello Glow has four key products: a soap, a toner, a sunscreen, and a cream. This Hello Glow All Natural Whitening Set of four items can be acquired for Php360, or each item can be acquired individually. Hello Glow is halal, vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free, so this is an ideal gift item for whoever wants better skin.

At the back of the box are instructions on the Hello Glow routine. The first step is cleansing with the soap, and then using the toner. For daytime, there's a sunscreen cream, and for the nighttime, there's the whitening cream.

Unlike scary skincare sets being sold on the internet, Hello Glow is made with natural ingredients such as arbutin, strawberry extract, papaya extract, arbutin, and peony extract. The products feature the whitening power of reputable ingredients such as glutathione and kojic acid.

Here are the parts of the four-step routine!

Step 1: Cleanse
This is designed for daytime and nighttime use, and has a refreshng citrus fragrance. It is soft to the touch, so I think that this has the risk of melting and depleting quickly. So I'd advise buyers to already have a good soap dish ready in order to make the most off one bar.

This has papaya extract, kojic acid, arbutin, and glutathione. It can also be used on the body. I think this will also work well with a beating net so it can be foamy.

Step 2: Tone
Hello Glow Clarifying Toner (Php120/50mL bottle)
This step is also for daytime and nighttime. This is designed to restore, refine, and whiten. It has the holy trinity of arbutin, kojic acid, and glutathione.

Step 3: Protect
This is designed for daytime use. It's designed to be applied to the face and neck 30 minutes before sun exposure, and will need to be reapplied every 2 hours. This has apple fruit extract, and like other Hello Glow products, it contains no harmful ingredients. They formulated this with the Philippine climate in mind as it's really lightweight.

This is the most important item in the entire range if you ask me! I started a new year's resolution in 2018 to apply sunscreen on my entire face and body every day, and after a few months, I really started to see the difference. I'd get compliments on my complexion, and I felt that all the other skincare products I was using were working better on me. After all, it's the sun that causes most skin problems like big pores, dry skin, uneven skin tone, and general dullness.

Step 4: Moisturize
Hello Glow Whitening Cream (Php144 for 10g)
This is designed to be used for nighttime, but like the sunscreen, it's also lightweight. This brand is ideal for teenagers because the creams are lightweight enough that users will be able to start a habit with them. I notice that the heavy or greasy feel of a lot of products is what's making it hard for people to develop a skincare habit. When I started to have a regular skincare routine in 2014, I also had to concretely commit to using products even if they felt sticky or heavy to me at the time.

Hello Glow can be used by pregnant women, teenagers, and basically anyone who wishes to achieve better skin over time. They are committed to making skincare safe and pain-free for users. They also stayed away from skincare marketing buzzwords like "7 days" or "instawhite," and focused on the messaging that good skin takes time. Most of the products that can give visible results within 7 days, unfortunately, have one or more illegal ingredients, and these can cause permanent skin damage or poisoning. Unscrupulous people have gotten really good at preying on the insecurities of people, and Hello Glow is a brand that's totally against that. I'm really excited about the future of this brand and I'm excited to road test these products!
