Overall Feedback:
Cezanne Color Tint Lip Rouge caught my eye when I was shopping at a Matsumoto Kiyoshi store when I was in Japan last year. I am always on the lookout for a great oil tint, especially in a market oversaturated by watery tints. Upon trying these out in the store, I was impressed by the texture and bought all shades.

So yes, this works a lot more like oil tints than watery tints. These aren't like mousse tints either. This feels like lacquer on the lips, like a thin lip balm actually. It promises to keep lips hydrated with four kinds of moisturizers in the formulation, and also promises to help cover up dry patches. I think that the claim is true. I like the texture so much as it helps to keep my lips feeling hydrated, and since it's balm-like, it doesn't stay on the small cracks of my lips. These are creamy and easy to use, and definitely easy to integrate for most everyday looks, like most Japanese makeup.

It's pretty interesting to look at the color palette of these Japanese tints and to see the contrast with Korean tints. Korean tints usually like to explore deep reds, and very bright reds. These tints, on the flipside, explore pinks, and more muted forms of pinks. I like all the shades of these tints as it's a good way to fill in the gaps that have not been filled by a lot of my Korean tints.

These tints are very comfortable to use, and the texture has no hot or sticky feeling. I like how I can add this to my lip balms as the colors are very vivid. The color payoff is very good as the colors are easy to distinguish from each other. The pigmentation is also great as it can be applied really thinly for a light tint or built up to the opacity of a lipstick. This promises high-intensity color for a matured look, but like any other makeup product, this can be flexibly played around with, This lasts fairly well at about 3-5 hours at full intensity on the lips and fades into a slight tint that stays put all day.

At 600yen for each tube, it's really affordable if you can get it in Japan. YesStyle sells it for a higher price, but it's your best bet as there aren't a lot of retailers outside Japan stocking this. I like this tint so much I bought all shades, so I highly recommend this to anyone with dry lips like me, or to someone looking for wearable shades for everyday looks.
