Himalaya Herbals Loot Box

Let's give a warm round of (online) applause for a new brand to love! Himalaya Herbals is now in the Philippines!

To give a little background, Himalaya Herbals was founded in India in 1930 by Mr. M. Manal, who envisioned that ayurveda (a Hindu system of alternative medicine) would become at par with modern medicine. Initially, the company was mainly focused on drugs and in creating medicines out of roots and herbs used in ayurvedic practices.

The company has been family owned all this time, and has expanded operations to over 80 countries over the years.

In 1999, they introduced personal healthcare products to their product lines.

In 2013, they branched out to the Philippines with oral care and skincare products, making their products available at Watsons, Mercury Drug, Shopwise, and Robinsons stores nationwide.

In 2014, they sent items for me to love and review.

Akin to their botanical image, they sent the items in this paper mache box with golden bamboo decorations painted on it.

Everyone in our household who opened this box was positively surprised by the sheer amount of the items included in this box. I think it's safe to say I have facial wash enough to last me for the next 100 years now...

The moment you open the box, a pleasant floral-powdery scent wafts through the air. I'm still not yet sure which product it came from or if it's a combo of all the scents of the products, but nonetheless I am so excited to use these!

Included in the kit are four full sized bottles of facial washes.

This is their Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash.

I'm personally excited about this because I normally buy facial washed with foaming bottles because I can use the bottle for dispensing hand soap and dishwashing liquid after... Using these kinds of bottles has saved my family truckloads of soap in the three years we've been using them...

Here's the same variant, just in tube packaging. Since this is in tube, I am assuming that this is thicker and more jelly like than the one in the foaming bottle.

This is their Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash with the goodness of apricot and aloe vera.

The last facial wash is their Clear Compexion Whitening Face Wash with the power of saffron.

I also received a small jar of their Nourishing Skin Cream.

Don't be fooled by this photo, in real life it is slightly smaller as a Dunkin Donuts doughnut.

They also sent me the cream counterpart of their Clear Complexion facial wash.

Amusingly, I also got send a tube of toothpaste. I am amused because I am usually sent makeup or skincare products, and not oral health products... (not complaining, just amused, hahahaha)

Here are some other photos the products...

They sent me baby versions of the Purifying Neem and Clear Complexion facial washes, as well as some tubes of their Neem Face Pack.

Their strengths as a brand are that they do not put in parabens in their products, and that their products are products of intense scientific research and development.

The number of products is just so great that I actually took some time before I was able to capture all of these nicely in a photo. Or maybe it's just because I was too ambitious to take photos against the light just to get the foliage of our backyard to be the background of the photos... Not sure..

To end this post, don't forget to join their Facebook contest! Taal Vista overnight for two up for grabs!
