Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion and Body Wash Review

Yet another of mom’s favorites! Aveeno’s Skin relief range has been a staple in mom’s bathroom for many years now. Mom once got splashed with scalding water on her arm. She quickly washed the area in cold water, and then immediately proceeded to apply Aveeno Skin Relief loion to soothe the area. Miraculously, the affected area was not red nor sore for long, and was not affected for as long as she feared it would.

As for me, this is my go-to whenever I have a bad rash from over dryness, extreme dust exposure, or due to the summer heat.

The lotion is at Php715 for a 354mL bottle, and is available at Lazada and other leading beauty retailers. This is more expensive than the Daily Moisturizing lotion as it has shea butter and has more moisturizing power to relieve extremely dry or irritated skin. The way that it quickly soothed my mom’s skin after getting scalded is testament to its extreme nourishing powers.

As the lotion has colloidal oatmeal technology, I think this will display Tyndall effect? Kidding aside, the texture of the lotion is whipped and gel-like, and it doesn’t feel “wet” like how other lotions feel like. The formulation is thicker.
