Avène PhysioLift Eye Contour Cream is designed to tackle pronounced wrinkles on the eye contour, puffiness, and dark circles. This aims to fill wrinkles, smooth, and tighten the skin around the eyes. Avène PhysioLift Eye Contour Cream is enriched with Ascofilline (anti-aging architect active), Hyaluronic Acid Mono-Oligomers (to re-plump the skin), retinaldehyde (anti-aging active), and dextran sulfate (decongestant). This is my review.

Packaging and Scent: As I’ve shared in many other Avène posts, this comes in a totally sealed tube with a nozzle that cannot be screwed off. There is no hole on the nozzle, so any excess product cannot be put back inside while dispensing, making it really hygienic. Like the wrinkle filler, this also has no fragrance on the ingredients but smells faintly like carrots.

Product Texture: This has a thick and balmy texture that stays put on the areas on which it is applied. As eye creams are supposed to really treat concerns specific to the eye area, it makes sense to me that this formulation doesn’t move around a lot. If the formulation were to move or spread around easily, then it would fail to deliver intense results on the target areas. This needs to be spread evenly, though, as product that doesn’t get blended in is bound to stiff up in chunks.

Hydration vs. Oil: This does feel hydrating, but notably is an oilier formulation compared to other eye creams I have tried. The oiliness does help to give a skin barrier as it’s quite water-resistant.

Skin Texture Refinement: I have had fillers done on my under-eye area, so I could not really make a very good discernment as my under-eye area is already puffed to the level it should be. This does help to make the under eye area silkier and smoother, but whether this can really tackle dark under-eye circles and crow’s feet, I want to be honest that I am not in a position to give feedback as I have Restylane fillers.

Radiance Boost: Same as the texture refinement portion, I also could not notice whether my under eye circles were lightening as they generally are already very faint since I got fillers done.

Value For Money: This is $46.00 for 15mL, which I think sounds normal for Avène pricing. 15mL may sound a little, but given how small of a dot you need each time, this will last for quite some time.

Overall Feedback: I apologize that I am not a good source of feedback for the filling and under-eye circle improvement part for my fillers. But, I do think that it has an integral role in general as it’s hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Based from what I have observed with my mom (who has very sensitive skin), she always has trouble looking for eye creams as most are too heavily scented, and a lot end up irritating her eye area, so she doesn’t have a lot of options. Most other dermaceutical brands do not have eye creams available in the Philippines, or don’t even have any eye creams for sale at all. So for people like my mom who has sensitive skin but has anti-aging concerns, this is among the few products she could use so that the system doesn’t disenfranchise her altogether.
