|Careline Matte Liquid Lipstick (Brick’D) Review|
Careline Matte Liquid Lipstick is the liquid lipstick range that promises fully pigmented coverage, comfortable wear, and in shades and price points apt for the Careline Girl Gang. Relative to other liquid lipstick releases of the Ever Bilena group, this features a youthful color palette, and also comes in modern and youthful packaging. This review is for the shade Brick’D.
Careline Matte Liquid Lipstick is the perfect choice for those who are looking for unique liquid lipstick shades at affordable price points. Since Careline is so widely distributed, this is also thus far the easiest brand to get hold of if you’re looking for one of a kind shades.
The texture is a mid-thickness, mousse-like liquid that sets and completely dries. For liquid lipsticks, this is among the more comfortable selections in the market. It doesn’t feel heavy nor hot on the lips. It’s also flexible enough that when the wearer smiles or talks, it doesn’t crack awkwardly. However, it does flake off when you rub your lips together, so you’ll need to make a conscious effort to not rub. It also takes a little more time than average to dry and stop being sticky.
The shade selection is impeccable. I was really impressed to see that all the shades were so uniquely created. You can give this to anyone as a gift, and unless they have the exact same shade from this collection, it’s not going to overlap with the other liquid lipsticks they own. I also love how a lot of the shades are so wearable and apt for everyday makeup.
This is a liquid lipstick that lasts fairly well if you don’t eat or drink. And also if you can consciously not lick or rub your lips when wearing this. If you’re eating something oily, it really will wear off, so expect the need to retouch. As for drinks, it doesn’t wear off, not unless you’re drinking something rich and oily like cream cheese on milk tea or traditional hot chocolate.
At Php195, it’s very affordable, so this is a great way for beginners to figure out whether liquid lipstick is their thing or not. This is also affordable enough that it’s not going to be hard to try out the grey or brown shades, as it won’t hurt if it ends up not working for you.
And for 5.5mL, Php195 is really affordable, as most other liquid lipsticks of similar product amounts are priced at least by Php100 higher. If you’re looking for something affordable, of unique shades, and with a forgiving texture for dry lips, this is a good choice. If you’re also in a rush to have a liquid lipstick for any reason, this is also the decent one that’s the easiest to acquire, thanks to its wide distributorship.
A brick shade with a mauve base.
